Carlos Valdivia started working at Three Trails Camp and Retreat Center in 2023 in the housekeeping department. He loves that he gets to make a difference in ministry through his work.
Carlos is a Kansas City native. He lived on the Missouri side of Kansas City until moving across the river divide to the Kansas side when he was eight years old. Carlos was raised by his loving mother. He is the youngest in his family and is blessed to be a twin to his sister. He loves animals, especially his amazing rescue dog Foxy!
Carlos was first introduced to The Salvation Army in 2007 when he began attending church there. He attends a Spanish speaking Corps (church) and loves helping/leading the teens and sharing the Bible with them. He loves serving his church and finds great fulfillment with helping feed the community’s homeless population.
Carlos loves hanging out with family and friends, and attending concerts, especially gospel music concerts! He also loves going on float trips and LOVES to be surrounded by Gods creation in nature!
Faith in God is the most important part of his life. He seeks the Lord and is a part of several church groups and Bible studies in his free time. One of his favorite scriptures is found in Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
