Myriam Silva started working at Three Trails Camp and Retreat Center in 2018 in the housekeeping department. Her children love to spend their summers at camp and can oftentimes be found helping mom as she works. She enjoys supporting her kids as they adventure through life.
Myriam has been married for more than 20 years. She and her husband have been blessed with three boys and two girls. Her two oldest children are out of the house and married. Myriam moved to the Kansas City area from California in 2006. She was first introduced to The Salvation Army in 2009. She attends a Spanish speaking corps (church) and became a Senior Soldier (member of The Salvation Army church) in 2014. She loves helping at the corps and has taken on leadership through leading Home League, a women’s group. She also teaches Sunday School for elementary school aged children. She loves working with kids and sharing the Bible with them.
Myriam enjoys cooking for family and friends. Her favorite dish to make is Pozole, a traditional Mexican dish. She also enjoys crafting with other ladies and sewing during her free time.
Myriam and her family love to spend time at the lake with friends. They love to grill out, play games and listen to music while enjoying the lake. Spending time with family brings her joy. They also love to visit California and Mexico while spending time together on vacation.
Myriam’s faith in Christ is the most important part of her life. Supporting other woman through fellowship and prayer is an important part of her ministry and friendship to others.
